2010 World Food and Wine TV Festival held in Qingdao

Delicious food has no boundaries. Nearly thirty well-known food and wine television producers from the United States, Britain, France, Australia, China Taiwan, and Henan, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Heilongjiang gathered in Qingdao and attended the 2010 World Food and Wine TV Festival hosted by the Digital TV - Chinese Food Channel during Nov.8 to 10. The main contents include: excellent food and wine TV programs’ selection, food and wine programs’ exhibition and exchange, the establishment of the Association of World Food and Wine TV Programs Producers, and so on.

It was learned that the best variety show, the best series show, the best life and service show and the best food column were selected during the festival. The prizes went to 14 columns from home and abroad, among which “Cuisine on the Silk Road” produced by China Food Channel, “The New International Competition among Chefs” produced by Tianjin STV and Australia’s “My Family Feast” won the "2010 World Food and Wine International Contribution Award.”

It is particularly noteworthy that “Association of World Food and Wine TV Programs Producers” was established during this festival. Members of the association will meet annually. The association aims at promoting and enlarging the exchange, trade and sharing of production experiences of world food and wine shows, and boosts the development of diet culture industry and makes it a representative symbol of the world's television.
